Priorities and reservations

Three categories of NanoLab NL users are distinguished:

• Users from the own institution (including externally financed users, 
  such as from STW, FOM, NWO, CW, NanoNed, MicroNed, etc.)
• Users from other institutions participating in NanoNed or MicroNed
• Other users

In case of waiting times for NanoLab NL equipment, priorities are determined according to the following rules:

• Users from all categories have equal rights for access to facilities or equipment.
•  In case of capacity limits the local head of NanoLab for a given institution will decide. In this case users from categories   
  1 and 2 will get access first.
•  Regulations with respect to facility use are strictly according to the local procedures (e.g. for intake, reservation of equipment, etc. ) at a given institution.
Users are obliged to strictly follow the indications from the local facility responsible or deputy. Violation in this context may result in the user no longer being allowed access to the facility.

The Nanolab NL parties nor the corresponding institutions will accept any responsibility for damage, directly or indirectly related to using the NanoLab NL facilities at the given institution.

Tariff structure *

We distinguish two tariffs related to NanoLab NL facility use: 

- Internal tariff: Users from research communities in the Netherlands**
e.g. MicroNed, NanoNed, FOM, STW, NWO, CW, Universities, Research institutes, etc..

- External tariff: Other users
Work from companies that are not explicitly embedded in NanoNed collaborations, parties outside the common research communities.

** Please note that the costs for use by researchers in the own institutions costs are paid according to the financial arrangements at that particular institution, with the internal tariff as the upper limit.
