NanoNed is a consortium of 7 universities, TNO and Philips. Next to these socalled consortium partners the following institutes, universities of Leiden and Utrecht and also the FOM institute AMOLF in Amsterdam take part in NanoNed. Within all these partners NanoNed employs around 400 researchers. To ensure coherence within the program a good organization and structure is essential.

The highest body within NanoNed that takes decisions on the program is the NanoNed board. This board is mandated by the consortium partners to make policy and to take decisions about the organisation of the program, to grant individual projects and to organize overall activities for NanoNed. The board of governors is the controlling organ of the board and convenes twice a year to be informed about the developments within NanoNed.
To advise the board on important technological and societal trends, a panel of people from industry has been formed called the industrial advisory board. This board is gathered two times a year and is a good sparring partner for the valorisation platform that supports the researchers in their ideas on the entrepreneurial ladder.
NanoNed is financially supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs

The programme management of NanoNed is carried out by the Dutch Technology Foundation STW
