Nanotechnology refers to technologies in which materials are manipulated on the atomic and molecular scale to create materials and processes with novel properties. It is expected that nanotechnology will have an impact on many technology areas and markets sectors.
The aim of technology assessment is to understand and improve the interaction between science, technology and society. This requires dedicated methodologies and in-depth studies.
The research program covers several Ph.D. projects, support for Technology Assessment components in nanotechnology research, interactive workshops and other feedback activities.
